About Mike
Since 2002, Mike has worked in the substance abuse field previously working as the Program Director for Alternatives and Rainbow Bridge Community Services. Mike also worked for Los Angeles LGBT Center as the manager of Addiction Recovery Services and Crystal Meth Recovery Services. Mike was instrumental is developing substance use programming for the Center which included an Intensive Outpatient Day Program, Evening IOP and several crystal meth and substance use support program.
In addition to his private practice, Mike also works for CAST Centers as the Program Director. CAST Centers is the nation's top mental health and addiction treatment center. At CAST Centers offers partial hospitalization programs (PHP) intensive outpatient programs (IOP),Next Step (aftercare program) coaching, and more. CAST Centers is the top rehab treatment center in West Hollywood.

Mike worked for two years in the William S. Hart School District, providing psychotherapy to special education students and their families.
Mike received his certification as a Drug & Alcohol Counselor from LA City College, holds his B.A. in Liberal Arts from Salem State College and received his Master’s in Psychology from Antioch University.
Mike serves on several crystal meth work groups and advisory boards and has been both a featured speaker and panelist in various town hall meetings throughout the country.
Mike’s work within the recovery community has been featured in various mainstream publications, including GQ Magazine, The Advocate and an Emmy Award Winning episode of KCET’s “Life & Times” television series.
